Within the framework of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s visit to Vietnam, the Australian Embassy in Vietnam held a reception on August 22 to welcome him as well as to meet enterprises investing and doing business between the two countries.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Luan, Chairman of the TMS Group and of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association in Sydney (VEAS), expressed his belief in the strategic relationship between Australia and Vietnam. “Vietnamese businesses in Sydney in particular and in Australia in general inherited the experience, advanced management levels, and modern technology needed to develop in Vietnam through investing in international projects and works that are able to influence socioeconomic development,” he said. “The governments of the two countries need to create a favorable investment environment to promote trade between businesses from the two countries.”

VEAS is a bridge boosting the mutual relationship between the two countries. As Chairman, Mr. Luan has contributed notably to supporting and encouraging its members and in developing economic cooperation between Australia and Vietnam.

He is also a founder of the TMS Group, which has been in business for 16 years and targets becoming a multi-sector group in fields such as real estate, education and training, tourism, retail, healthcare, and agriculture. Real estate is a key sector and the group has three major projects: TMS Hotel Da Nang Beach, TMS Hotel Quy Nhon Beach, and TMS Grand City Phuc Yen. It plans to develop a series of hotels, resorts, and entertainment and golf complexes around the country in the time to come.

The group has nearly 6,000 employees and many offices in Vietnam and in other countries and territories such as Australia and Japan. It will open more representative offices in developed countries such as South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the future
